Privacy policy

This is a translation for your convenience. The German version (Datenschutzerklärung) is legally binding.

Controller

Markus Ochmann, email: info@formel-1-livestream.de. Further details in the legal notice (in German, linked at the bottom of every page).

In short

Without your consent, this website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking services and embeds no third-party content (no external fonts, videos, maps or social media buttons). All files are then served from our own server.

Only if you click “Accept” in the notice window do we use Google Analytics (see below). To do this, we store your choice in your browser (the entry “f1-consent” in local storage, not linked to you as a person); this is technically necessary so that the notice window does not appear on every page view (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG, the German Telecommunications and Digital Services Data Protection Act).

Server logs

When a page is requested, our web server processes technically necessary data: date and time, the requested address, status code and amount of data transferred, as well as the IP address. The IP address is shortened before it is stored (IPv4 to the first two blocks, IPv6 to the first 32 bits), so that it can no longer be attributed to a person. The browser identifier (user agent) and cookies are not stored. The logs are deleted after 7 days.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and stable operation).

Some links marked as “Advertisement” lead via a redirect on our server (/go/…) to a partner (NordVPN). When you click one, we only store which link was clicked on which of our pages, the type of device (phone, tablet, computer) and the time. We do not store your IP address, browser identifier or cookies. We delete these counts after 25 months.

After the redirect, the partner’s privacy policy applies. We do not pass any personal data to the partner; the partner only learns that the visit came through our partner link.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in settling and evaluating the partner links).

Google Analytics

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). It tells us which pages are viewed how often, how visitors find the site and how they use it – so that we can improve it.

For this purpose, cookies (e.g. _ga, _ga_<ID>) are stored in your browser and usage data is transmitted to Google, in particular the pages viewed, time and duration, approximate location (country/region, derived from the IP address), device and browser type and the referring page. Google Analytics 4 does not store complete IP addresses. The data may also be transferred to servers of Google LLC in the USA; Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision of the European Commission, Art. 45 GDPR). Google processes the data on our behalf (Art. 28 GDPR).

The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG). The data is deleted after 14 months. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future: via the link “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page, then “Decline”. Google Analytics will then no longer be loaded and the analytics cookies will be deleted.

Google Analytics is integrated via Google Tag Manager (also Google Ireland Limited). Tag Manager itself sets no cookies and does not analyse any data; when it loads, however, Google technically receives your IP address. Tag Manager is also loaded only after your consent.

Further information: Google’s privacy policy.

Links to broadcasters and streaming services are ordinary links. Only when you click them do you leave our site; the privacy policy of the respective provider then applies.

Email

If you write to us by email, we use your details only to answer your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR).

Hosting

The website runs on a server of IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. IONOS processes the server data described above on our behalf (Art. 28 GDPR).

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR) as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).
